MET Institute of Pharmacy organised an institute-level Reel-Making Competition on 8th October 2026 as part of World Pharmacist Day / National Pharmacy Week 2026, under the theme “Swastha Bharat: Combating Antimicrobial Resistance.”

A total of 24 students from the Degree and Diploma programmes participated in the competition, creating informative reels highlighting antibiotic misuse, self-medication, preventive measures, and the rational use of antibiotics. Through creative storytelling and digital media, the participants conveyed important messages about antimicrobial resistance and the responsible use of antibiotics.

The entries were evaluated by Dr. Rashmi Srivastava, Professor, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree); Mrs. Vaishali Malvankar, Lecturer, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma); and Mr. Yugesh Naik, Senior Executive – Digital Marketing, MET Marcom. The evaluation was based on creativity, originality, scientific accuracy, and the effectiveness of the message.

The competition encouraged students to leverage digital platforms creatively to spread awareness about antimicrobial resistance, promote responsible antibiotic use, and contribute towards the vision of a healthier India.
