FYMCA students at MET Institute of Computer Science participated in an insightful Shorewalk at Juhu Beach, organized by United Way in December 2025.
The session showcased the rich biodiversity of the intertidal zone, where students encountered a wide range of marine organisms such as various species of crabs, shells, starfish, and sponges. Experts explained how these organisms play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance.
Through this hands-on experience, students gained a deeper appreciation of marine life and a clearer understanding of coastal ecosystems. The interactive walk also promoted awareness of marine conservation and emphasized the importance of protecting these fragile habitats from pollution and environmental threats.
