MET Institute of PGDM successfully conducted the Smart India Internal Hackathon 2026 on 2nd September 2026, providing students with an immersive platform to explore innovation, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and real-world problem-solving. The session was thoughtfully led by Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean – Incubation, whose guidance and expertise added depth and direction to the students’ innovation journey. Conducted across two sessions from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the hackathon created an engaging environment for students to think beyond conventional approaches and develop an innovation-oriented mindset.
The hackathon followed a structured innovation journey comprising Pain Storming, Brainstorming and Solution Storming. During Pain Storming, students identified and understood real-world problems, challenges and user pain points. This was followed by Brainstorming, where they challenged assumptions, explored different perspectives and generated innovative ideas. In the final stage, Solution Storming, students transformed promising ideas into practical and impactful solutions by refining their concepts and exploring ways to address the identified challenges effectively. The process encouraged students to question the status quo, collaborate with peers and approach problems from multiple perspectives.
Overall, the Smart India Internal Hackathon 2026 provided an enriching experiential learning opportunity, enabling students to strengthen their problem-solving, collaboration and innovation skills. The initiative inspired them to observe, question, collaborate, create and innovate, while understanding how real-world challenges can be transformed into opportunities for meaningful solutions. At MET Institute of PGDM, such initiatives continue to empower students to become future-ready professionals, creative thinkers and confident problem-solvers capable of creating meaningful impact in the world around them.
