MET Institute of Management organized a two-day Research Conference on 27th and 28th February 2026, bringing together students, faculty, industry professionals, and academic experts to present and deliberate on research across diverse domains of management and business studies.

The conference commenced with the inaugural address by Dr. Manmeet Barve, Academic Dean, who emphasized the vital role of research in addressing contemporary business challenges and fostering evidence-based decision-making. Dr. Nirmala Joshi also addressed the students, encouraging rigorous inquiry and analytical excellence.

The event was meticulously coordinated and managed by Dr. Sagar Gaikwad and Dr. Nirmala Joshi, ensuring seamless execution and high academic standards throughout.

Research papers were evaluated by an esteemed panel of industry and academic experts comprising Dr. Suruchi Gautam; Dr. Brijesh Sharma; Dr. Nilesh Kurhade, Branding and Marketing Expert; Dr. Manish Adhia, Branding and Marketing Expert; Dr. Kinjal Shah; Dr. Harish Nuola; Mr. Darshan Dhirai; Ms. Sheetal Saphale, Pharma Expert and MET IOM alumna; Ms. Leena Dadlani, AVP, Barclays; Mr. Prabhu Elangovan, Fintech and BFSI Expert; and Ms. Nikita Raut, Specialized Business Analyst, L&T Mindtree. Their insights and constructive feedback significantly enriched the academic deliberations.

Over the two days, participants presented research reflecting analytical depth, originality, and practical relevance. Akash Mishra secured First Position for his paper titled “Astro-Temporal Variables and Market Efficiency: An Empirical Examination of Nifty 50 Post-Covid Performance.” Sahil Chavan was awarded Second Position, and Mansi Wadkar secured Third Position.

The conference concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Sagar Gaikwad and Dr. Nirmala Joshi, marking the successful culmination of an academically enriching event that reinforced the institute’s commitment to research excellence and scholarly rigor.
