MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) conducted a classroom awareness session on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st December 2025, to educate students about HIV and AIDS and promote awareness on prevention, testing, treatment, and stigma reduction.
World AIDS Day is observed globally to highlight the impact of HIV—the virus that attacks the immune system and can lead to AIDS if left untreated—and to reaffirm the importance of continued education and public health action.
The session also highlighted global initiatives and this year’s theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” emphasizing resilience in prevention, treatment, and support while encouraging students to contribute responsibly towards a healthier and more informed society.
