Zerodha Varsity Quiz (Mumbai Edition) was hosted at MET Institute of Management on 28th
January 2026 and commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The inauguration was
led by Mr. Raghav Chakravarthy, The Quiz Master at Zerodha Varsity Quiz along with Dr. Swati
Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management, and Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean - Academic,
symbolizing the institute’s commitment to knowledge and learning.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation with 69 student teams, each comprising three
members from various institutes. Following the inauguration, Mr. Raghav Chakravarthy, the
Quiz Master, addressed the audience, outlined the quiz format, and introduced Zerodha Varsity
and its broader initiatives.
Zerodha Varsity is a financial literacy initiative that aims to simplify learning around finance,
markets, and wealth creation through structured modules. It encourages students to develop a
practical understanding of how businesses, markets, and financial systems function, helping
build analytical thinking and real-world awareness.
The quiz at MET reflected this vision by providing an engaging platform for students to apply
their knowledge in a competitive format. The pen-and-paper quiz rounds focused primarily on
businesses and companies, testing participants on general business awareness, corporate
concepts, and selected financial topics. The event effectively combined learning with
competition, motivating students to move beyond textbook concepts and engage with practical,
industry-relevant knowledge.
During the Quiz, the Participants were assessed on business awareness, corporate knowledge,
and core financial concepts, encouraging analytical thinking and quick decision-making. An
audience question-and-answer segment further enhanced engagement and interaction.
The event concluded with Team PTVA IOM emerging as the winner, while NMIMS IOM secured
the position of First Runner-up and MET PGDM emerged as the Second Runner-up. The
winning teams were felicitated by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management and
Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean - Academics, MET Institute of Management, in recognition of their
performance and contribution to the success of the competition.
