The Centre for Insurance Research, Training and Development (Life and Non - Life) is committed to excellence for producing the best Insurance professionals.

The insurance industry in India has tremendous growth potential in Life and Non- Life sectors, taking into account the low penetration and density of insurance coverage compared to the western countries.
MET intends to respond to the growing needs of Insurance Industry in India. The opening of Indian economy has seen the liberalisation of Insurance industry after the passing of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority bill in the year 1999. The market composition of public and private sector has clearly shown the growing trends by recording highest ever growth rate in Insurance industry. The next decade is going to experience phenomenal growth in the career graph of insurance professionals. The centre is a platform of expression for industry personnel for their professional excellence, talent search & overall development in relation to training. The unique features of e-empowered Management & Business Administration (Insurance) programme are the dual specialisation with Marketing or Finance, on the job training, project and research work. The course contents have exhaustive syllabus on Insurance subjects including Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Reinsurance.
