A Better Way to Learn

Prof. Julie Mills, Head of School, Natural & Built Environment, University of South Australia was at MET on 18th Jan 2016. She enlightened the students and faculty about how project based learning can improve students' skills and make them employable. She shared her views about the different education domains like engineering and medical field, pointing that engineering learning is a hierarchical learning method where students learn things step by step. In an insightful discussion she highlighted that generic skills such as team work, leadership, communication and technical skills such as drawing, designing, analysing etc. can be learned through project based learning, which will help the students for overall growth and also stated that theory and practical courses are required in curriculum to support this type of learning methodology. A good learning indeed!
