Tech@MET MET Institute of Computer Science organised the Mega Intercollegiate IT Fest ‘Tech@MET’ for the IT students of various colleges on February 17 – 18, 2010. This is a popular annual IT fest which all the IT students look forward to. Over 450 students from across 18 colleges attended this mega two days event. Amongst the colleges that participated were Hiray, SNDT, KJ Somaiya, Vivekanand, Vidya Vihar, Bharati Vidyapeeth, YMP, Thakur, National etc. more>>> MET Sangeet Sandhya Mumbai Educational Trust celebrated the spirit of togetherness and bonding by organizing a classic musical evening on February 24, 2010 at the MET Convention Centre. The entire MET family of the trustees, visiting faculties, guest lecturers, key corporates and non-teaching staff were present at the packed event. The popular orchestra – ‘Khumaar’ presented medley of evergreen bollywood super hit songs; that were highly appreciated and enjoyed by all. more>>> Key to Corporate Success! MET Schools of Management organized guest lecture on ‘Practical Wisdom for Corporate Career’ by Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Marketing & Operations Head, Samsung CDMA Mobiles Division on Jan 30, 2010 at the MET Convention Centre. The lecture was well attended by a large audience of more than 200 students besides faculty and staff members. more>>> The HR Pathway! MET Schools of Management orgainsed a session on ‘Career Options in HR’ by Ms. Aparna Sharma, Director HR, UCB (India) Pvt. Ltd. on Feb.4, 2010. She addressed on the struggle and status of HR professionals in the corporate world. She also defined and distinguished between the HRM (Human Resource Management) and HRD (Human Resource Development). more>>> Zurich visits MET! Prof. Andre Haelg, Dean & Managing Director and Prof. Rene Ruttimann, from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, visited Schools of Management of MET on February 05, 2010. They were very impressed with the MET Schools of Management and expressed desire for students and faculty exchange programmes to start with.
