Workshop on ‘Dynamic IT with Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Collaboration’
MET Institute of Computer Science had organized a one day workshop on ‘Dynamic IT with Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Collaboration’, on 27th October, 2010. The workshop was initiated with the lighting of the inaugural lamp by Mr. Yatin Purohit, Principal Technology Strategist, Microsoft Corporation, Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, Dr. Sunita Mahajan, Principal, ICS, and Mr. Dinesh Vadera with the recital of the Saraswati Vandana.
As a quality improvement program, industry experts shared and discussed their views on emerging technology of the modern services industry. The workshop was designed to provide comprehensive overview of Cloud and Virtualization Technology. Cloud computing is fast becoming the most important platform in the field of Service Computing. The technical foundations of Cloud Computing include Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Virtualizations of hardware and software. The goal of Cloud Computing is to share resources among the cloud service consumers, cloud partners, and cloud vendors in the cloud value chain.
This workshop provided a platform to bring together researchers, academicians and IT professionals for sharing and discussing cloud computing related research, technologies, experiences and lessons for building clouds of interoperability and coordination capabilities and services.
