MET IIT's DACA alumnus shines at Best of British Animation

Jasbeer Singh - Alumnus of MET IIT's Diploma in Advanced Computing Arts, currently working with Flickerpix Animations Ltd., Belfast, UK shone at the Best of British Animation in February 2006.

Horn OK Please!

Horn OK Please - directed by Joel Simon is the story of Lucky, a helpless Mumbai taxi driver with dreams of buying his own taxi someday and his adventures on the Mumbai roads. The film comprises a few dialogues and is largely visual in nature, making it understood and accessible by all. Jasbeer was the Technical Director and Creative Partner on a Northern Ireland-India co-production project entitled Horn OK Please. He was the first Indian in the team and was closely involved in the story, pre and post-production of the film. The film has been extremely well received and the British Council has decided to screen the film alongside award winning films at the British Council Auditorium during the weeklong screening of the Best of British Animation.

'There is no place like MET...' says Jasbeer

Before I came to MET, I had no idea about many latest techniques in animation such as the 3D stopmotion. MET IIT's DACA provides the latest in animation in the shortest period of time. There is no place like MET IIT to pursue a course on 3D animation. The enthusiastic, creative and interesting faculty make learning at MET a delight. MET IIT's DACA programme is the best programme for anyone wants to climb the animation career ladder real fast. At present Jasbeer is a Creative Partner for animating a television series for BBC Television, Northern Ireland.
