Learning from the Field

The Advanced Diploma in Mass Media (ADMM) programme at MET Institute of Mass Media functions on the philosophy of - "for the industry, from the industry & by the industry". As part of the industry orientation process, the Institute recently organized for the Advertising students a study tour to 'Publicis Beehive', a full service brand Advertising agency, where they interacted with professionals of various functions to understand the nuances of the working of an advertising agency.

The Entertainment class had academic visits to Prime Focus World, Sets of the TV shows 'Aadhe Aadhoore' and 'Parvarish 2' along with a Channel visit to 9X Media. The purpose of study tours was to get the students to understand Television as a function and a 360 degree perspective of an actual production Setup. For an observational learning experience, the MET mass media students also went to Yashraj Studios for the trailer launch event of the film, 'FAN'.

The Journalism students were sent to Hindustan Times and Mid Day Infomedia's printing press and were also given an opportunity to visit Zee Media Corporation to understand Broadcast.
