The might of the pen!

A columnist, a critic, an author and a showbiz consultant, Bhawana Somaaya visited as a guest faculty at MET IMM to train the aspiring journalist through her experiences. She is a renowned film journalist since almost three decades. She has penned columns for The Sunday Observer, Afternoon, The Hindustan Times, The Hindu and has made a mark for several other news papers and magazines. She has scripted and anchored many entertainment programmes.   She is the author of nine books. Her prominent titles include ‘Amitabh Bachchan - The Legend’, ‘Bachchanalia’, ‘Salaam Bollywood’, ‘Hema Malini: Authorised Biography’ and ‘Fragmented Frames’.

Her visit to MET IMM motivated the upcoming student journalists and they understood the essence of entertainment industry. They learnt how to build and maintain contacts with different people in media world. Students were eager to know about her personal experience of an interview with Amitabh Bachchan. She candidly shared her views about that interview and efforts taken to write a book on the living legend.
