Newseum Where Journalism and PR Meet

The Journalism & PR batch of MET Institute of Mass Media began a legacy called Newseum on February 26, 2017. The event was a synergy of Journalism & PR, a Museum of News - something which is an integral part of both the challenging careers. The event was inaugurated by Indian Hockey team's captain and coach of Women's hockey team, Mr. Mir Ranjan Negi. Mr. Negi, spoke from the heart about his chequered journey and the role played by the media in the lives of sports personalities.

Newseum saw the unveiling of MET Institute of Mass Media's annual publication Friday in a new slick magazine avatar. Friday in its 'All about Grey' theme had bollywood fame Vicky Kaushal on the cover and featured acclaimed personalities like Sanjay Mishra, Pratiek Babbar, Sambhavna Seth, Saloni Chopra. The magazine was unveiled by Zee Etc's film analyst and host Komal Nahta. Nahta also imparted his words of wisdoms on Journalism. He spoke about the other side of the challenging career.

Aspiring Journalism & PR students across the colleges in Mumbai were present for the event & participated in the competitions held by the team. Eminent television journalist, producer of NDTV, Ms. Puja Bharadwaj was the judge for the event 'Heading the Tales' and Mr. Shrikant Malushte judged the photo journalism event 'Shades of Grey'. Newseum is an event that would only grow stronger in the coming years.
