MET Celebrates Game Changers in Media!
MET Institute of Mass Media looked forward to expand the prospects for the mass at large to meet the media stalwarts, after the grand success of Metamorphosis 2009 - India’s 1st Comedy Film Festival.
‘Metamorphosis’, 2010, was all about ‘Celebrating Game Changers!’ a horizon where the media magician’s tricks are applauded. Game Changers ensured that the media as an industry is in a constant state of flux. Every Game Changer ought to be celebrated for either introducing a new style or giving birth to a new genre. And who better than the Game Changers themselves, to stand as pure an inspiration for young media aspirants. And they have left their irrefutable stamp on the society!
Metamorphosis 2010, was a three-day event, which took place on the 18th, 19th and 20th of November, 2010. It was an eclectic mix of 18 pre-entry and on-ground events and 9 panel discussions, in the field of Advertising, Journalism and Entertainment. The event was inaugurated by leading bollywood icon Mr. Manmohan Shetty. On this occasion MET was graced by celebrity bollywood star Mr. Salman Khan and Mr. John Abraham, also a MET alumnus.
About the event Trustee - MET said, “MET wants to provide a platform to all its students where they can present their skills and be judged by experts. We plan to take it forward each year covering different aspects in turn giving the students an opportunity to develop into an all round personality”.
With a host of eminent panelists and celebrity judges, Metamorphosis 2010, was nothing but a game changing event, in itself!
From Josy Paul (Chairman - BBO India) to KV Shridhar (NCD – Leo Burnett) and Rupali Guha (Producer - Film Farm India Pvt. Ltd ) to Abhishek Kapoor (Director - Rock on), the event witnessed a Galaxy of Game Changers…
Renuka Sahane, Pallavi Joshi, Ajai Sinha, Ashish Khazanchi, Vinay Venkatesh, Sanjay Gadhvi, Arun Nalawade, Mahesh Kothare, Vandana Gupte, Jabbar Patel, Punit Malhotra, Vikramaditya Motwane, Mahesh Bhatt, Abinav Kashyap were amongst the many media stalwarts present at the event for panel discussions and as Judges.
A strong vision of the ADMM (PG in Mass Media Management) program at MET IMM is ‘Media Convergence’… Metamorphosis is the direct reflection.
