Conquering New Milestone!

Disability is a matter of perception and once you meet Sankara Raman you would know why. A C.A by profession, Raman is an integral part of the Award Winning Organisation Amar Seva Sangam in Madurai. Raman received the Super Idol Award post his participation in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2010, where he managed to complete the Dream run despite being confined to his wheelchair. “The marathon is a way to showcase our Sangam in order to raise funds and arrange corporate sponsorship,” says Raman. Raman was born with his disability but his dedication towards life helped him overcome them and lead an extra-ordinary life. His Sangam is known for its integrated school which has over 200 people on campus. “We manage it without any international funding,” Raman notified. His visit on the wake of student’s succumbing to academic pressure brought in motivation. He also revealed his secret of ‘time management’ that helps him multi-task and also to overcome any kind of handicap.  In his brief visit at MET IMM, he enthralled the students here, with his amazing zeal to not just lead a perfect life despite bandages but to also inspire them to devote their life to a cause closer to your heart.
