The Sharpening Process

Orientation
An intensive induction programme is held prior to the commencement of regular classes for the students. Batteries of projects, presentations and case studies, followed by a slew of psychometric tests are administered to measure a student's mental and emotional mindset. In addition, the students are made conversant with management styles and trained in corporate etiquette. Launchpad is followed by HeartTalk, a forum for open interaction between parents and MET faculty.
Certificate I - Certificate in Introduction to Mass Media (July - December)
This certificate will provide an overview of the Mass Media Industry for a basic understanding of ground realities. The focus is on media convergence and therefore be relevant across the streams.
Certificate II - Diploma in Mass Media (January - April)
This specialisation certificate allows the students to gain a basic perspective of their chosen specialisation. It consists of intensive modules that provide practical and hands-on experience. The students are encouraged to participate in workshops, debates, intercollegiate competitions, solve case studies and pursue live projects. In addition to the regular curriculum, project work is assigned to students which is aimed at creating resourcefulness and enhance networking skills.
Summer Internship
To get a feel of corporate life, students take up a summer internship with an organisation. An internship may last from one to two months; it gives students a chance to experience the real corporate work environment. Management techniques learnt in the classrooms are applied to actual projects in the industry - a great way to enhance managerial skills.
Certificate III - Advanced Diploma in Mass Media (July - December)
This certificate involves highly specialised learning, targeted towards bringing the students at par with standards set in the industry. The extensive focus on practical assignments enhances application based learning.
Industry Orientation
Placement Cell assists the students in getting access to the best placement opportunities.
