MET MMS Beach Cleanup Drive for a Swachh Bharat

As the city's most worshipped elephant god bid adieu for the year, the citizen's insensitivity to the environment was clearly visible. Reluctant to shoulder responsibilities of environmental issues year after year, people left behind incredible amount of non-biodegradable waste and pollutants post immersions.

MET Institute of Management, MMS (Master in Management Studies) organised the Beach Cleanup Drive on Sept. 16th, 2016 at Juhu Beach, Mumbai which began early in the morning. MET students worked for environmental betterment by extending a helping hand to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) in cleaning up the surrounding. The sight at the beach was disheartening with wilted flower garlands, coconut shells and plastic materials strewn about by the devotees. Spearheaded by Shivangi Singh, Zinal Parekh and Purvesh Shah, in this drive about 43 responsible MMS students contributed.

Sensitive to societal cause and apt to act, such responsible managers in the making will sure change the world around us as they take their rightful places in corporate arena.
