Language Lab @ MET

In the wake of excelling in the subject of one’s specialisation, what often gets sidelined is the communication skill set that acts as a vehicle, for putting across one’s ideas and functioning effectively at both the personal and professional levels. MET League of Colleges has set-up a Language Lab for METizens, it will help them to identify their lacunae areas and take relevant steps to deal with them.

• The Language Lab will provide the opportunity for enhancement of all aspects of the English Language and basics of six foreign languages to all Faculty, staff members and students of the MET League of Colleges, for a batch of twenty students at a time, through a lab comprising twenty students’ and one teacher’s console.

• All aspects of linguistic skills, namely Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing can be enhanced through the various training modules that are offered by this software. In addition, the basic level of six foreign languages are made available, which include French, Spanish, Chinese, German, Italian and Portuguese

• The Language Lab will offer the flexibility and scope for self-learning and assessment, with the scope for teacher intervention, when needed.

• The software which is being used for the language lab has the provision of being constantly upgraded with newer material as and when required.
