MMS Aarohan 2014
The MMS Aarohan 2014 induction program began with the Chief Guest, Mr. R. S. R. Murthy, CFO, Madison World’s inspirational speech. Dr. Vijay Page - Director General, MET IOM honoured the Chief Guest and the Course Coordinator of MMS programme, Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, presented the code of conduct, the curriculum and delivered a motivational talk to the incoming students. Ms. Gladys Vaz, Ex-HR Head, L&T later gave them an insight on ‘Diversity’ and its significance in today’s world. Mr. Sachin Sable, Sr. Manager Supply Planning, MSD Pharma and MET Alumni shared his rich knowledge and experience on the attributes required for logistics and supply chain management in every industry. Mr. Santosh Hulagabali, Gold Medalist Master of Library and Information Sciences, briefed on various sites that can be very beneficial for research and general management. Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Marketing Head – Vodafone, spoke on Brands and had a very interactive session, sharing and enlightening all with anecdotes and personal experiences of learning in the corporate world. Mr. Shyam Agarwal, Sr. Vice President, Decimal Point Analytics, discussed the practical aspects of finance and stated to fly high but be grounded always.
‘Leadership’ programme was headed by Dr. Vijay Page and conducted by Prof. Shirodkar, Dean, HR, SOM. Later, MET Alumni, Mr. Gautam Gulati, COO, KIAH Jewels, had a very light hearted yet serious talk stressing that it does not matter where you begin but does matter on where you end. He told them to Dream Big. Mr. Sameer Mistry, Asstt. V. P. Investments - Birla Sunlife and MET Alumni, Mr. Yash Paleja, India Head Operations - HDFC Realty and MET Alumni, along with Mr. Manish Oberoi, Chief Manager, Brand and Marketing, Reliance Capital and MET Alumni bonded with the students whilst giving practical lessons on how to succeed as a professional and to groom themselves to align in the corporate world.
Mr. Bhushan Lawande, Founder & CEO of E4 conducted the dynamic and amazing outbound session for the students on team building, team work, negotiation skills, leadership and time management skills etc. at the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini at Uttan.
The new batch of incoming students found the Aarohan 2014 an exhilarating, encouraging and a very interesting induction!
