Mumbai University Oration Series


MET Institute of Management is celebrating magnificent 160 years of glorious existence of the University of Mumbai. Under the aegis of the University, Oration Series was organised at MET as part of this celebration on 'City Planning and Mumbai' on Monday, 19th December 2016. Mrs. Sulakshana Mahajan who is a renowned researcher in Urban and Women's issues, with a particular focus on India, was the main speaker on this occasion. She is an eminent expert on the topic with several papers, articles and newspaper columns to her credit. She took the audience on a journey of how Mumbai as a city has evolved with inputs on the strategic key city infrastructures like roads, bridges and flyovers that the city cannot live without. She also shed light on how the roles of an MBA and architecture are unique but differ from one another, yet combined together it becomes pivotal for the city. Her thoughts and in depth views on the topic were very insightful for the audience that comprised of faculty, staff, students and delegates from leading B-Schools in Mumbai.
