MET Institute of Management triumphs over IIM Ahmedabad
& other top management institutes.
In All India 'CASE STUDY' Competition
- ACUMEN 2006
MET celebrated a moment in history when Minal Manek, Vednarayan Sirdeshpande, Manish Pardasani - MMS - III (Marketing) from MET Institute of Management won the first prize in an all-India case study competition titled ACUMEN 2006.
In an exciting and challenging battle of wits, MET students were pitted against IIM - Ahmedabad and IIM - Kozikode amongst other leading management institutes. MET students emerged as clear winners and were awarded the winning title. "We gave our 100% to this competition and were confident that we will be atleast amongst the top three, occupying the top position comes as a happy surprise." says a bashful Minal.
"When we were short-listed and pitted against the best institutes in India, the butterflies started to flutter. The mentoring system followed by our institute came into play here. Our faculty encouraged us and we gathered ourselves and started working with a mission in our hearts, after that there was no looking back" said a beaming Manish.
The case study was on Strategies to sustain leadership for a media channel. "It was a quasi-real case that was extremely challenging. Luckily we had learnt enough management principles in class and thus were able to apply the same while solving the case. Apart from using management principles to solve the case, we learnt the value of teamwork and group dynamics while solving the case, said a smiling Vednarayan.
At MET, we encourage students to push the limits of their minds. Because, we believe, thats what gives them the edge. Today, once again we can say with pride that our students aren't just intelligent. They are Sharp. Razor Sharp.
