CEO & Managing Editor's message
In its fourth year of publication, the overwhelming responses received from children across the country only strengthen our belief in Young Explorer (YE) gradually evolving as 'India's only complete school magazine' - A dream that the team YE had envisioned while creating the product. The attempt was to provide children with a tailor-made magazine that could connect their classroom learning with the practicality of the real world. Young Explorer was designed to help children plan, pursue and realise their dreams.
The fundamental objective of the magazine was to broaden the horizon for children to understand, nurture and showcase their hidden talents. The magazine has aimed at helping children 'explore' different possibilities, thereby initiating planning and goal setting from an early stage. Another key rationale behind instituting the publication was to reinstate the now forgotten practice of good reading among students - a habit that is being lost out in recent times to watching television, internet browsing and other trivial pursuits. It is our belief that well-informed students would not be totally dependent on others to chart out their goals in life.
And considering the wealth of knowledge that resides in the pages of numerous books, it is our responsibility to guide our younger generation to discover this treasure trove. We therefore look forward to the support of each student, parent and school in taking forward our vision of promoting holistic development in a child. After all we at Young Explorer firmly believe, "What we become, depends on what we read…"
