Scientific Fervour of Young Minds

"Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge", said Carl Sagan, the American astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist, astrobiologist, author, science populariser, and science communicator. This is what MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students demonstrated at Synergy - an annual Science Exhibition that was conducted by MISA on 15th October 2016, in which about 25 schools participated.

MRV students contested in the inter-school competitions, wherein they had to conduct science experiments related to any stream (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) with the theme 'Science for a Life Changing Experience'. Projects needed to be made up of eco-friendly sustainable ideas based on scientific principles. The project was divided into Junior and Senior categories. MRV students showcased their creativity and a rare grasp of the intricate principles of physics wedded to the green cause in USB fan, a vacuum cleaner and a mini projector from e-waste. MRV's young scientists fascinated the judges who couldn't help but ask for more from our little geniuses. MRV student won the First Prize in senior category for Resource management: Innovative techniques that will reduce the accumulation of e-waste or convert them to usable gadgets, and the Consolation Prize in junior category for energy resource and conservation.
