Skating Wonder

Yug Moramkar stood 4th Runner Up in the Junior Boys category for the 1000 meter race and 4th Runner Up in the 250 meter race in the Roller Skating Hong Kong Championship. He stood 5th Runner up in the Cadet and Junior Boys Category for the 750 meter relay race. In Short Track Speed Skating Asian Trophy (Ice Skating), Phillipines, Yug stood 12th in Asia in the Under 14 category in the 333 meters race. He also stood 11th in Asia for the 500 meters race.

In 12th National Short Track Speed Skating Championship held in Gulmarg, Kashmir, Yug won one Gold in the 500 meter race. He also broke a national best record for the same with his timing as 1:00:06 seconds (1 minute, 6 micro seconds). He also won the Gold in the 1000 meter race and broke another national record with his best time as 2 minutes 4 seconds.

Yug won 2 Silvers for the rink races - 500 meters and 1000 meters respectively. He also won one Gold in the road race. This gave him an overall rank of 2nd position. This was conducted near Hinduja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai. In the Roll-O-Fit Roller Skating Championships held at YMCA Ghatkopar, Mumbai, Yug stood 2nd in the speed skating 1000 meters race and got one Gold in the speed slalom race. On the other hand during the Skate Academy Championship (Roller Skating), Yug won a bronze at the 1000 meters race. He also won one Gold at the relay race which was held at the St. Stanislaus School, Bandra. In the Zias Roller Championship held at St. Mary's School, Byculla (E), Yug secured the 1st place. Yug has also participated in the Short Track speed skating (Ice Skating) Camp in Turkey and has been certified.

With such a successful track record, Yug is all set to make a mark in the sports arena.
