Mother Toddler
MRV has propounded a unique pre-school teaching methodology called MRV's Mother-Toddler concept that has challenged the conventional beliefs towards pre-school education. Mother-Toddler is a wonderful time of learning and fun through
music for the mother and toddler (6 mths to 1.5
years). This one-year programme is held thrice a week in the mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45
a.m. During this programme the mother and toddler participate in various activities that aid the child's development. The mother is then expected to repeat the activities at home. The toddler is guided through Fine Motor activities, Musical
activities, Spiritual activities, Gross Motor activities, Dot Cards, Flash Cards etc.
• Fine motor activities include like painting, pottery, identifying textures, guiding wooden needles through a series of wooden holes, amongst others
• Gross Motor activities include free play, rolling, crawling through tunnels, kicking the ball, etc.
• Live musicians and a trained singer teach Indian and western rhymes in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujrati
• MRV is a secular school and we thus teach the children every prayer. Spiritual Activities include various prayers and devotional songs that are whole-heartedly sung by the teachers and parents.
• Children are introduced to Mathematics through Dot Cards. They are taught basic addition and subtraction using these cards
• Each concept is introduced to the toddler using a puppet show, songs, drama and flash cards. All the words associated with flash cards are shown to the toddler during the class.
• Through the MRV's Mother-Toddler concept, we have successfully trained many toddlers who can now accomplish unbelievable feats. Parents have warmly embraced the concept
since it helps them to understand their child better and help their child get the edge.
• MRV has offered this intellectual prowess to many play schools and nurseries and the number is growing.
