MET Alumni Meet – 2011
(Part Time Executive MBA)

MET Institute of Management organized the part time executive alumni meet on April 9, 2011 at the MET Convention Centre, where the alumni from past six batches 2002-2005 to 2007-2010 were invited.

The nostalgia was evidently seen on their excited faces. The program started at 7.00 pm. with the welcome address by Prof. Sandeep Chopde and Prof. Sangeeta Tandon followed by CA. Sunil G. Karve, Founder – MET. He introduced to the MET alumni website where they could interact with the institution and their batch-mates. He presented to them a platform to voice their opinions, share articles and success stories and get an opportunity to remain connected with the institute. He offered them facilities like the MWM (eMWM), access to e-library, online publications & research journals, etc.

Prof. Sangeeta Tandon then requested the alumni to share their experiences and their success stories in career with their batch-mates and their alma mater at MET.  Further she read out email sent  from Chicago by one of the ex-students Mr. Guruprasad Gadgil (batch 07-10) who had mentioned how doing MIM, ‘MET has became active for me to get admission in the University of North Texas, Denton for Ph.D. in IT Management’. Mr. Anuj Sharma, an alumnus (03-06 batch) shared his experiences of 3 years in MET and spoke about how MET gave him a direction in his career. He has been invited as a speaker to the Global MF Investment congress, New York this coming May.  Others who came up to speak were Mr. Jayhan Thomas (03-05 batch), Mr. Nilesh Karania (06-09 batch), Mrs.  Rekha Ruhira (MHRDM 07-10 batch) who spoke of how MET created a difference in their lives.

This was followed by the felicitation of alumni of all the batches, by the hands of CA. Sunil G. Karve, Founder – MET and the event concluded with vote of thanks by Prof. Vijay Page, Director General – MET IOM.
