The cultural festival ‘Lumiere’, organized by the council of MET Institute of Pharmacy, was celebrated on the 26th and 27th of September 2014. The festival hit off with the tele-matches event which involved various one minute games and concluded with a Tug-of-war. Khari Kamai event followed, wherein food stalls replaced the mundane experiments in the laboratories and all profits were donated to NGOs. Classroom events such as Graffiti, Makeover, Paper Quelling and Sketching/Caricature etc ran parallel.
The second day saw the students labouring all over the premises for winning the Treasure Hunt. Auditorium events included the enactment of famous scenes from Bollywood movies via the Bollywood event and Antakshari which was a huge hit amongst the teaching and non-teaching staff as well.
The cultural night consisted of dance performances from all classes, attracting cheers from the audience and talented singers rocked the show. Garba night proved to be a grand finale as traditional ‘Gujarati songs’ filled the air.

Arduous efforts have gone into the making of ‘The Nest’ and we congratulate our editors, Ms. Siddhi Kanakiya, Ms. Hiral Patolia and Mr. Yash Sancheti on this commendable job. The cover depicts ‘The cycle of life’. Pharmacy is all about supporting and nurturing life, which is accurately symbolized thus.
This year’s theme ‘Pharma Medley’ is all about shedding light on the various shades of pharmacy with its yin and yang. ‘Beyond education’ and ‘Out of the box’ sections have been incorporated for light reading. Hidden poets and talented artists have also been acknowledged by exhibition of their hard work.
