MET Recreates Pandharpur Magic

Ashadi Ekadashi was celebrated with great vigour and enthusiasm by the students of MET Institute of Pharmacy. The Dindi (religious procession) started at Bandra Banstand and continued along the way upto the MET Campus, students sang, danced, and rejoiced in the name of Lord Vitthal.

On 21st July, 2010 over 200 students, faculty and staff from MET League of Colleges filled the air with their united chants creating awareness of these unique traditions and joyfully spreading peace. Numerous students performed lezium in high spirits. Pots of tulsi saplings were offered to symbolize purity and prosperity. Not only the rhythmic sounds of the lezium but also the symbolism of human pyramids and students clad in the attire of the Lord Vitthal and Rakhumaee recreated the genuine magic of the Pandharpur Yatra.

The kids aged 5–7 years of MET Rishikul Vidyalaya gave a brilliant lezium performance during the finale of the Dindi at the MET Campus. A beautiful, pious ambience was created to conduct the Aarti, which was concluded by melodious and enchanting bhajans.

One and all, from 5 to 70 years at MET was mesmerized in the spirit of devotion this Ashadi Ekadashi.
