MCA: Master of Computer Application
Three-year, full-time PG programme affiliated to Mumbai University &
accredited by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) &
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

Programme Objective
The MCA programme strikes a fine balance the skills required to work in the areas from system development to enterprise level. It gives the students the right edge in crucial areas of Software Design and Engineering Information, Architecture and Project Management.

Are you eligible?
Graduate from a recognised university with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10 + 2 level or at graduation and minimum of 45% aggregate marks for open category and 40% for reserved category. Students who have appeared for their final year graduate examination may also apply for admission. However their eligibility will be decided after the production of their degree result with required marks on or before 30th September of current year.

Selection Procedure
The students will have to appear for the state-level common entrance examination (CET) conducted by DTE, Mumbai and/or AIMCET conducted by Roorkee IIT. The Management Association of Management Institutes (MAMI) also conducts a CET in June/ July. The applicants will have to submit CET scores.

Programme Outline
The MCA programme follows a three-pronged approach:

• Core subjects in Computer Technology, Mathematics and Business Management.
• Electives like Network programming, e-Commerce, Industrial Financing amongst others provide link to the latest trends in the Computer field.
• Unique initiatives and activities like the Mentoring System, Seminars and Guest Lectures and the Tech@MET festival amongst others are organised to enhance capabilities of the student
• The crowning glory is the final year project development in the Industry that prepares our students for the rigour of corporate world. The students pursue a 6-10 month live project in the industry. Thus, when the students step into the corporate world they are fully equipped with the best IT skills.
