Dr. Omprakash Mandge

Dr. Omprakash Mandge is an accomplished academician, researcher, and institutional leader with over 21 years of experience in higher education, specializing in Computer Science, Data Science, and AI-driven Smart Farming systems. He holds a PhD in Computer Applications from the University of Mumbai and is a University First Rank holder in M.Sc. Computer Applications. Currently serving as In-Charge Principal at MET League of Colleges, Institute of Computer Science, Mumbai, he has played a pivotal role in academic leadership, quality assurance, curriculum innovation, and regulatory compliance.

Dr. Mandge has extensive teaching experience across MCA, PGDM, MMS, B.Sc. CS, and B.Sc. IT programs, covering advanced subjects such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Python, R, Advanced Java, Databases, Web Technologies, and Cloud Computing. He has also served as IQAC Coordinator, contributing to the institute’s achievement of NAAC A Grade accreditation.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Mandge has published multiple Scopus-indexed journal articles and IEEE/Springer conference papers, with notable contributions in attention networks, ensemble learning, precision agriculture, and explainable AI. His work has earned Best Paper Awards at international conferences. In addition, he is a NVIDIA Certified Deep Learning Instructor, AWS Certified ML Instructor, and has worked as a consultant for EdTech and skill-development initiatives. He actively conducts Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and workshops on emerging technologies, contributing significantly to academic capacity building and research- driven innovation in higher education.

Prof. Chetna Achar
MCA, PhD*
Prof. Chetna Achar received her B.Sc. (Maths / Statistics / Computer Applications) Degree and M.C.A Post Graduate Degree from Mangalore University. Currently she is pursuing her PhD degree in Management from Somaiya Vidyavihar University. She is working as an Assistant Professor at METs Institute of Computer Science since August 2006. She has previously worked as a Lecturer at Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management Studies and Research from 2004 to August 2006. At present she is a member of IWSA, CSI and IEEE Bombay Section. Her areas of interest are Blockchain, Data Structures, Databases, System Modelling and System Dynamics.

Prof. Flavia Gonsalves
MCA, PhD*
Prof Flavia Gonsalves is MCA and pursuing Ph.D. from Gujarat University. Working with MET since Aug 2006 have taken initiative to start IEEE student branch at MET. She is also the student branch counsellor she has written 5 papers at international conferences areas of interest are Network security Adhoc Networks and Game Theory.

Prof. Jamshed Irani
MCA, MBA

Jamshed Irani completed his Masters in Computer Applications from MET Institute and Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Operations from Welingkar University. He leads the ERP & Networking team at MET, Bandra. He is an ICT specialist and managing teams from various departments is his forte. His areas of interest are Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. His passion is researching, learning, developing new software’s and mentoring young minds in the development field.

Prof. Puja Devgun

Puja Sharma Devgun is a dedicated academician and researcher in the field of Computer Science, with over 15 years of experience in teaching and content development. She holds an M.Phil in Computer Science, along with an MCA and several professional certifications including CCNA, MCSE, and MCDBA. Her areas of interest span across eLearning and educational technology, computer networks, databases, data mining, software testing, and IT project management. She has contributed to academic research through papers on MOOCs, AI in education, and eLearning innovations. In addition to her academic work, she actively engages in digital content creation and has authored technical content for global platforms.

Prof. Bhushan Gaonkar

Prof. Bhushan Gaonkar holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from MET Institute and brings nearly 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong focus on Process Improvement and Quality Management. He delivers training in Agile Project Management, establishes streamlined processes, oversees enterprise-level audits, and mentors students to prepare them for Professional roles. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member at MET, he led a value-added program on Agile Project Management for SYMCA students, aimed at enhancing their industry readiness.

Prof. Shahazad Shaikh
Prof. Shaikh Mohammed Shahazad is an academician and technical trainer in the field of Computer Science with over 9 years of experience across academia, EdTech, and the software industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from MET Institute of Engineering and has completed certifications in Software Testing and Data Analysis using Python.

He has been associated with BridgeLabz, where he has mentored students in industry-relevant domains such as Full Stack Development, Automation Testing frameworks, and modern software development practices, along with contributing to placement initiatives across colleges in Pune and Mumbai. He has also guided final-year students at institutions such as Chitkara University and Technocrats Institute of Technology for Full Stack Development, preparing them for organizations like Capgemini.

With this diverse professional journey, he brings valuable industry-oriented insights and value- added learning experiences to the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET). His areas of interest include Automation Testing, Java, Spring Boot, MERN Stack, API Testing, and Software Engineering. He is passionate about teaching, mentoring young minds, and bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
