The Alumni Relations Team organizes the Annual Alumni Meet, a flagship event that offers alumni a cherished opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater and relive the memorable days of campus life. Held once every year, the Meet brings together all 17 PGDM batches, starting from the Class of 2007-09.

This event serves as a vibrant platform to celebrate the accomplishments of distinguished alumni. Select individuals are honoured with a memento and bouquet in recognition of their outstanding contributions across various domains, including entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and voluntary service. These accolades are formally presented as part of the MET PGDM Alumni Excellence Awards during the event.

Beyond the celebrations, the Meet is a vital forum for networking and engagement, helping to deepen alumni relationships and promote their involvement in key institutional initiatives—most notably, placements. To foster this collaborative spirit, members of the Placement Committee, along with faculty and staff, are invited to participate.

Hosted on campus since 2023, the institution enjoys enthusiastic participation from alumni, whose contributions are instrumental in its success. MET Institute of PGDM places strong emphasis on alumni engagement, leveraging their support in areas such as placement assistance, academic advising, and admissions outreach. To further these efforts, the Institute has initiated structured and ongoing alumni interactions.

The institution ensures sustained alumni engagement through calendar of events. The Alumni meet is conducted annually, serving a key-touchpoints to strengthen long-term relationships and foster a sense of community. Complementing these are the Alumni roundtable and Alumni interaction sessions, which facilitate ongoing dialogue, knowledge exchange and professional networking among alumni and institution.

Alumni Engagement – Interactive sessions with students

Guest sessions by alumni serve as a powerful platform for knowledge exchange between past and present students. These interactions allow alumni to share their post-MET journey, industry exposure, and real-world experiences with the current PGDM batches. Alumni speakers provide valuable insights, from reflections on their college days to learnings from their professional careers. They openly discuss the skills and mindsets essential for success, helping students align their academic learning with industry expectations.

Each session typically concludes with an interactive Q&A round, where students actively engage with alumni on diverse topics related to career growth, sector trends, and personal development. These sessions often lead to immersive discussions and expose students to independent thinking and alternative perspectives.
So far, several alumni guest sessions have been organized by MET PGDM to benefit graduating students—strengthening alumni-student bonds and enriching classroom learning with real-world relevance.

Alumni Involvement in Entrepreneurship development

MET Incubation Centre hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table’, uniting alumni with entrepreneurial experience across MET Institutes and graduating years. The session focused on a rich exchange of ideas and insights to strengthen the campus startup and innovation ecosystem. The collaborative approach plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic plan, startup roadmap, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming academic year. A key takeaway from the round table was the proposal to form an Alumni Mentor Pool — aimed at providing structured guidance and mentorship to student-led ventures.
