Located on the 8th floor, the central library caters specifically to the needs of PGDM students and

The library is fully automated using KOHA, an Integrated Library Management System (ILMS). This
includes a
user-friendly Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), allowing users to search, reserve, and recommend
resources
conveniently.
The facility is air-conditioned and equipped with 24/7 CCTV surveillance, ensuring a safe and
conducive
environment for study and research.
The MET PGDM Library offers a modern, fully automated, and resource-rich environment that supports learning, teaching, and research. With an open-access system and barcode-based management, users can easily explore its diverse print and digital collections. Subscribed e-databases, a Digital Library, and an Institutional Repository provide access to extensive academic and industry resources. Located on the 8th floor, the air-conditioned, Wi-Fi-enabled library is managed by a qualified librarian, ensuring efficient services and a conducive academic atmosphere.
The MET PGDM Library achieved full automation through a phased journey that began in 2001–2002 with the LIBSYS 4 software and barcode integration for efficient resource management. In 2023–2024, the library upgraded to Koha (version 22.11.11 Rosalie), a globally used open-source ILMS, successfully migrating all legacy data and streamlining cataloguing, circulation, and user services. Further enhancements, including handheld and wireless barcode scanners added in 2024, have improved operational efficiency and workflow.
The MET PGDM Library has evolved through the dedicated efforts of the Library Committee and faculty, with a vision to support academic excellence and research. Collaborating with leading national and international publishers, it offers access to the latest books, journals, and databases. Guided by a strong procurement policy, the library functions as a dynamic Learning Resource Center, fostering research, self-study, and collaborative learning for students, faculty, and scholars. Continuity in implementing new initiatives and best practices is indeed a hallmark of a high-quality library. The MET PGDM Library is a registered member of DELNET (Developing Library Network), a prominent library network
aimed at facilitating resource sharing and inter-library cooperation across institutions.
DELNET promotes the development of a shared knowledge base by connecting libraries nationwide, thereby enabling
access to an extensive repository of books, journals, articles, and other academic resources beyond the
institution's own collection.
The primary objectives of DELNET include:
