The Institute recognizes the importance of

The goal of Institute’s faculty development plan is to:

improvement activities, travel
aid, alternate work from teaching, assistance in proposing and conducting research,

and research support for publication, consulting, or grant activities, secretarial
assistance,
IT facilities and other such institutional support is provided to enhance faculty
development.
HR Department and Director annually review the appraisal reports of all faculty members in
their
department and provide appropriate feedback. On a more ad hoc basis, the Director will be
informed by department heads of developments in each department and the impact of these
developments on long range planning.
The Institute supports, organizes and, where appropriate, provides funding for approved
professional development activities. Furthermore, the Institute in particular, conducts
conferences, faculty development workshops on campus, The Institute also encourages its
faculty
members to participate in off campus faculty development programmes organized by other

schools and professional bodies.
